Kruger (Ph.D., University of Edinburgh) is President and the Samuel C. Patterson Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He is one of the leading scholars today in the study of the origins of the New Testament, and the author of numerous books including Bully Pulpit: Confronting the Problem of Spiritual Abuse in the Church (Zondervan, 2022), Surviving Religion 101 (Crossway, 2021), Hebrews for You (The Good Book Company, 2021), and Christianity at the Crossroads: How the Second Century Shaped the Future of the Church (IVP Academic, 2018). In 2019, Dr. Kruger also served as the president of the Evangelical Theological Society, the world’s largest society of evangelical scholars.
